“City of Toronto officials are speculating that the falling concrete from the Gardiner expressway could be cause by the record high temperatures. Small pieces of concrete fell off the Gardiner Expressway on Wednesday, halting traffic at a major Toronto intersection for several hours, as crews worked to clean up, and check for major faults.” Global News Reports
It’s been a heart-wrenching week in Elliot Lake. It all started last Saturday afternoon when part of a roof collapsed at the Algo Mall and ended Wednesday as rescue crews removed their hats as a sign of respect as the bodies of two victims were removed from the site of the collapse. The questions and ‘finger pointing’ have already begun. On this week’s Focus Ontario with hosts Leslie Roberts and John Tory examine the ‘fallout from Elliot Lake’.
