The Ministry of Labour’s latest video shows what you need to know when working near asbestos. Asbestos kills more workers than any other occupational hazard, including traumatic deaths in construction. All workplace parties, including workers, have a shared responsibility in reducing the risk of exposure. Owners, employers and constructors must ensure workers are safe on the job and are not exposed to asbestos, this includes following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations Regulations.
