Occupational safety inspectors are investigating after a man was killed at a Scarborough worksite Monday.
Shortly before 3 p.m., the man was reportedly unloading a truck inside of a yard owned by GFL Environmental near the intersection of Kennedy Rd. and Passmore Ave. — just south of Steeles Ave.
Found without vital signs, he was later pronounced dead by emergency crews.
Meanwhile, a second worker was rushed to hospital in an unrelated accident in the city’s Portlands.
Toronto police say emergency crews were called just after 3 p.m. after a man was struck by an object at a worksite on Leslie St., just north of Unwin Ave.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating both accidents.
